Handling Times:
All items that show the amount of product in stock (ie: “15 in stock”) are shipped/in stock at either our Burton or Grand Blanc, MI location. Important note: Some items are only stocked at our Grand Blanc Fulfillment center. If you plan to come into the store to purchase a product, please call to ensure we have it available at our Burton, MI sales location before driving to the store. Most orders placed before 12 noon Eastern US Time are shipped out the same day. Some large orders may be shipped out the next day, depending on the number of orders we are currently processing. Some items, like the Hardy Rib Snow Rail, may have additional lead times. Those additional lead times will be stated on the individual products page.
Allocation Limits on Items:
Due to the lead times and allocation limits some of our items are experiencing, we have put in place our own allocation amounts on these items. These items when selected will only allow so many of a certain product to be added to the cart per order. Additionally, the allocation amount is per customer/ship-to address/bill to address per month. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any order, not within allocation compliance. We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.
Backordered Items:
Small Items– Some small items may become back-ordered. If the item is eligible for back order you will be notified prior to purchasing. Items that are back-ordered typically take an additional 2-10 days to ship from the factory/supplier. If this time frame increases we will notify you as soon as possible.
Drop Shipped Items:
Some items we offer are drop shipped directly from the brands we distribute for. If the item is drop shipped then it will state that on the items page in some form (ie: Special order or Drop Shipped Item). If the item states "Additional quantities ship directly from MFG" or wording similar to this, and you purchase more than we have on hand, the entire order will be shipped from the MFG. All of the above are items that are also non-returnable as they are special order and are not stocked by our company. Items that are drop shipped typically take 1-10 days to ship from the factory/supplier. In most cases, it is within 5 days. If the supplier notifies us that this time frame will be past 10+ days we will notify you as soon as possible and ask how you would like us to proceed with your order. (Options may include waiting for it to process or canceling for a full refund.) Drop-shipped orders may also only be shipped by ground transport. If you select a faster shipping method at checkout and the supplier is not able to send them using the faster method you will be refunded the difference in shipping costs.
Shipping Method:
For the 48 contiguous states, we ship our products through USPS, UPS, FedEx or LTL Freight. This depends on the weight and size of your order.
In some cases when an order weighs over 150 pounds, we may call to inform you that we need to ship your items LTL freight. This would be at no additional cost to you.
Some items are for Ground shipping only. These items will clearly state they are for Ground shipping only.
Shipping Rates:
Shipping rates from USPS or UPS are calculated directly from the shipping company using our account rates. This ensures we can offer the lowest shipping cost to you.
All free or flat rate shipping options are for the 48 contiguous United States. Shipments going to Alaska, Hawaii, or Internationally will be priced based on our USPS or UPS account rates.
If we discover our online shipping calculator has significantly overcharged you due to a calculation error, we will issue a return for the overcharged amount.
Returned Packages:
This is regarding all packages returned to us due to insufficient addresses, the wrong address provided by the buyer, refused packages, multiple delivery attempts for packages requiring a signature, or if an item was available for pickup at your local post office and was then sent back to us due to it not being picked up within the time frame given by the post office.
Any packages that fall within the issues above will have the order refunded, minus return shipping charges, and the original shipping cost that was paid will be withheld from the refund amount. If the item qualified for Free shipping, there will be up to a 25% restocking charge on the order. Special order items returned to us will not be refunded.
If you are unable to accept USPS packages or USPS does not service your location, you will need to select the appropriate UPS shipping option at checkout, as flat or free shipping options will be sent via USPS in most cases.
Signature Confirmation:
Any shipment valued at $250 or above may be subject to signature confirmation upon delivery by carrier.
Shipment Insurance:
We offer shipping insurance for orders up to $2,000 in value through ShipInsure with rates as low as $0.98; rates vary based on the value of the order. International Shipments to Supported Countries*:
Countries/areas we ship to currently: Canada, Australia, and New Zealand
Brokerage, Tax, and Duties: We use a company named Dutify to offer calculations of the tax and duties that will be assessed to your package by your country. This allows you to pay for the taxes and duties during checkout and we remit them through the shipping company. The carrier brokerage fee is also included in all services we offer. That way there are no surprises when your package arrives in your country.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the products purchased from our site will be in accordance with all local laws and regulations. The information regarding the products including product manuals, instructions, safety labels, etc. may not be in the language of the destination country.

Payment methods:
All payments will show as Mid Michigan Metal Sales on credit card statements and PayPal.
We offer two payment methods for purchases made on our online store. Some products, including hand tools, can only be purchased using the PayPal payment method.
Bill To Address:
To ensure we can continue to offer the lowest pricing and shipping to our customers, all Bill To addresses must match the billing address of the Credit card used at the time of purchase or your card will be declined at checkout. This will place a pending charge on your credit card account each time you try to place the order. Depending on the bank, holds may last up to 7 days before clearing off your card. We have no way to clear them early as this is between the credit card processor and your bank.
Sales Tax:
The list below is the US States we are required to collect sales tax. This list will be updated as we meet the requirements that require us to collect sales tax in new states.
Sales Tax Exempt Customers:
Currently, we do not offer sales tax exemption status through our online store. If you are eligible and require sales tax exemption and your state is listed above please email your completed tax exempt form to [email protected] to place your order. Once an order is placed on our online store we cannot refund or change the sales tax that was charged.
